The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd.) has officially appointed Mr. Andy Odeh as its new Chief Corporate Communications Officer, alongside Mrs. Morenike Adewunmi as Chief Relations Officer. The announcement was made in a company statement released earlier this week.
Brings over 30 years of communications and business administration experience across oil and gas, advertising, and broadcasting sectors.
Spent 26 years at Nigeria LNG (NLNG), occupying leadership roles in Community Relations, Corporate Communications, Government Relations, and most recently serving as General Manager of External Relations and Sustainable Development.
Credited for driving NLNG’s corporate rebranding, implementing a successful micro-credit scheme for host communities, and initiating the NLNG Prize for Energy Reporting.
Educational background includes the University of Jos, University of Lagos, INSEAD Business School, and the Nigeria Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS).
A legal veteran with over 25 years of experience in the oil & gas sector, notably at Shell Companies in Nigeria.
Has built extensive expertise in stakeholder engagement, regulatory compliance, and maintaining government relations—especially with governmental ministries and agencies.
Recognized for her leadership skills, emotional intelligence, and deep knowledge of non-technical risk management.
Holds a law degree from Olabisi Onabanjo University and additional studies at the Nigerian Law School.
